..Lusaka Province Permanent Secreatry,Stephen Bwalya, has called on parents in the province to educate their children and desist from sending them to sell food staffs and other items in bars and other drinking places.
Mr Bwalya said parents must find ways and means of educating their children rather than sending them to sell in bars .
The permanent Secretary said this in an interview with ZANIS today.
He attributed the tendancy of children patronising bars and night clubs to parents who raise income through their children selling items such as cigarrets, water and some food staffs in bars.
The permanent Secretary who is also liquor licencing board Chairperson ,also cautioned the owners of night clubs and bars to ensure that they do not allow Children patronising or selling any type of commodities in the surroundings of their premises .
Meanwhile Mr Bwalya has bemoaned the increase of early marriage cases in the province, especially the rural areas.
He therefore urged parents to consider the future of their children before making any decisions concerning them.
He emphasised the need to educate the girl child instead of marrying them off.
